Job Description:

In addition to the general staff RN job description, the WCU staff RN will be responsible for the care of women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life, supervising and coordinating care with other disciplines. This position is represented by RCHEA.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately charges for patients and unit supplies.
• Administers and controls narcotics and medications.
• Administers IV fluids according to the PCS Policy and Procedure.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the patient care team including patients, family, and physicians.
• Documents patient assessment, plan, interventions, and patients' response in the clinical record appropriately.
• Provides a concise and accurate report at end of shift or when transferring a patient.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients/individuals served.
• Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, licenses, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.
