Job Title

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, including on-call services, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment.

Responsibilities:

Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
Performs ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
Completes documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
Verifies written/electronic orders and related health information for timely performance and reporting of NM exams and procedures.
Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators.
Completes appropriate documentation for radioactive materials as per state and/or federal regulations.

Requirements:

Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited program or equivalent.
ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
American Heart Association BLS.
Preferred: One (1) year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
