Job Description:

Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsible for providing high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced skills in managing patients with various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and dobhoff/NG tube insertions.
• Conduct central line dressing changes and troubleshoot wound vacs.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips, heparin drips, and insulin drips.
• Hourly patient rounding during the day and every 2 hours during the night.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with EKG rhythm interpretation, bipaps, high flow oxygen systems, and cardiac/post-cardiac cath care.
• Critical thinking skills and peripheral IV skills are necessary.
