Job Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the ICU to manage complex ICU patients in a mixed unit including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU. The RN will need to have strong critical thinking and assessment skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced setting with all critical patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage care for complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases.
• Perform tasks such as proning, ventilator management, and working with hemodynamic lines.
• Administer IV medications, including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting with support staff, including CNAs, resource nurses, and RTs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience.
• Possession of BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• South Dakota RN License; completion of an approved nursing education program.
• Comfortability working a 48-hour/week contract.
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT preferred.
