Description

Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse) - ER

City/State: Omaha, Nebraska

Shift: 12 hr nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The RN in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position requires working 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend, alternating between Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday and Sunday days, following a self-scheduling model.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages in the emergency room setting.
  • Collaborate with EMTs, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients presenting with a variety of diagnoses.
  • Utilize the EPIC charting system to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Pass a pass/fail open book exam on skills learned during orientation with a 90% score.
  • No artificial nails; adherence to unit's fingernail policy is mandatory.
