Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER

City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota

Shift: 12 Hour Variable, 3x12 Flex, 07:00:00-19:00:00

Contract Length: 19.7 weeks

Start Date: 09/07/2026

Job Description:

Registered Nurse needed for the Emergency Room in a facility with a daily patient volume of 150-180. The main Emergency Department comprises 33 beds, focused on trauma/resuscitation and behavioral health. This role excludes first-time travelers and requires living more than 100 miles from any Monument facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage patients and determine care priorities using ESI assessments
  • Provide care for multiple patient types, including trauma, sepsis, DKA, and cardiac patients
  • Participate in evidence collection for sexual assault cases
  • Float to Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU as a task nurse
  • Possibility of precepting nursing students

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience excluding travel assignments
  • Current RN license with the South Dakota Board of Nursing
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS
  • Proficient in EPIC charting system
