Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide care for a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, in a high-acuity setting, within a busy Level III trauma center. This role requires strong critical thinking and clinical skills to manage a variety of medical emergencies, trauma, and behavioral health cases.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications using barcode scanning technology.
- Manage medication drips and blood product administration.
- Perform triage duties and must pass a hospital triage test.
- Set up chest tubes and arterial lines.
- Assist with trauma and code cases, and provide splinting.
- Operate BiPAP/vent machines and have a good understanding of ESI.
- Experience in pediatric emergency medicine is preferred.
- Experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a large volume ED with high-acuity patients.
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC.
- Experience with Epic EMR is required.
