Job Description:
Travel ER RN position for managing and providing care to patients in the emergency department. The role involves handling patients across ESI levels 1-5, providing clinical care such as triage, assessment, and treating stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients quickly
- Provide patient care, including PIV, NG/OG tubes, foleys, splinting, and wound care
- Assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement
- Answer call lights and transport patients
- Make calls for psych patient placement on nights and weekends
- Float to task in other departments if not needed in the ED
- Ensure appropriate EMTALA paperwork is completed
Requirements:
- At least 2+ years ED RN experience required
- Must have at least 1+ year of travel experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required
- Ability to perform required clinical skills
- Willingness to help precept eventually
