Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pre-op
City/State: Kent, Washington
Shift: 10H Days, 10 Hour Days, 07:00:00-17:00:00
Contract Length: 16.71 weeks

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Preoperative unit will work with patients undergoing various surgical procedures, focusing on pre-operative assessments, patient education, and discharge planning. Strong IV skills and experience with EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and manage patient readiness for surgery.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
- Administer IVs and manage medication administration.
- Coordinate with surgical teams and ensure seamless patient throughput.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Strong IV skills with experience in discharge and patient education.
- Preferred experience in pediatric, Phase 1, and PACU settings.
