Description
Job Summary
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for diagnosing medical conditions. This role also includes performing a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Essential Functions
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence to geriatric.
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Utilize PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and data management.
- Ensure the integrity of patient medical images and data while complying with patient confidentiality guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CT equipment and manage supply inventory.
- Carry out other job-related duties as assigned.
