Description
Job Summary
This position involves the delivery of coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process. The Nursing Care Coordinator will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients ensuring adherence to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and guide the activities of nursing staff at various levels, promoting effective teamwork and professional development.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient treatment and support.
- Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to assess patient needs and refine care plans accordingly.
- Demonstrate professional discretion in all interactions and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated experience in a nursing role, with a strong understanding of the nursing process.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in critical thinking and decision-making abilities related to patient care.
