Occupational Therapist (OT)

Facility Overview

Located in West Chester, OH, this clinic provides specialized care for patients seeking occupational therapy, specifically in hand treatment.

Position Overview

This is a temporary position covering maternity leave for a full-time Occupational Therapist.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide therapy for hand patients, including fabrication of custom splints ordered by physicians.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 40-50 patients per week (around 10 patients per day).
• Conduct 1-hour evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.
• Work with a combination of surgical and non-surgical patients, with a preference for experience in workers' compensation cases.
• Occasionally treat post-CVA hand therapy patients (less than 2% of caseload).

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of hand therapy-specific caseload experience.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• CHT certification is not required, but comfort with treating hand patients is essential.

Schedule Details

• Monday to Friday with flexible hours.
• Two late nights required with the last patient scheduled at 6:00 PM.

Clinic Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Closed on weekends.

Documentation System

The clinic utilizes NextGen for documentation purposes, and clinicians benefit from AI technology that assists in generating compliant clinical documentation in real-time.

Support Staff

Occupational Therapists are supported by PEC staff and PRN rehab aides.

Dress Code

Business casual attire is required.
