Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our surgical unit. The ideal candidate will be proficient in EPIC charting and possess vital certifications.

Unit Information

Facility Size: 67 beds
Operating Rooms: 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
Average Cases per Day: 15-22 cases per day

Position Requirements

Experience in the following surgical areas is required:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedic Fractures and Scopes
- Plastics
- Gastrointestinal
- Urology
- Pediatric Dental
- Surgical Oncology
No need for totals (hip and knee) orthopedic experience.
Ability to provide care without requiring to scrub or circulate.

Certification Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), if performing pediatric cases.

Work Schedule

The nurse is expected to work from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with a requirement for call two weekdays and one weekend per month.

Orientation and Training

Orientation consists of one week of on-unit training, supplemented by virtual education through HealthStream.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required for this position.

Other Requirements

Fingerprinting is mandatory; a remote process that requires 10 days is an option, or it can be completed in person.
Flu vaccine is required, except for documented medical exemptions.

Charting System

EPIC is the charting system used within the unit.
