Description
Job Summary
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues, which are essential for diagnosing various medical conditions. In addition to CT imaging, the technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' anatomical structures.
- Conduct general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures as required.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Review images for quality and completeness before presenting them to the physician.
- Document imaging procedures accurately in the patient’s medical record.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CT Technologist or equivalent in the field.
- Current registration with a recognized radiologic technology board.
- Strong understanding of imaging procedures and patient safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
