Job Summary

The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues, which are essential for diagnosing various medical conditions. In addition to CT imaging, the technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' anatomical structures.
• Conduct general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures as required.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Review images for quality and completeness before presenting them to the physician.
• Document imaging procedures accurately in the patient’s medical record.

Qualifications

• Certification as a CT Technologist or equivalent in the field.
• Current registration with a recognized radiologic technology board.
• Strong understanding of imaging procedures and patient safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
