Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing CT scans across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments. This position focuses on delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans for patients in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
• Work with trauma patients and handle urgent cases in a Level II trauma facility.
• Utilize GE CT machines effectively for imaging purposes.
• Maintain a high volume of scans; approximately 12-14 outpatient scans daily and an average of 40 emergency scans across shifts.
• Collaborate with a team that includes in-house radiologists during the day and on-call coverage after hours.
• Document all imaging results in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, utilizing Epic and McKesson PACS as needed.
• Observe safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification is required.
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred.
• Experience with trauma imaging is required.
• Preferred ability to start IVs, though not mandatory.

Work Schedule

The position is scheduled from Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with minimal call responsibilities. Weekend and holiday rotations will be required as part of the assignment.

Additional Information

• This role includes a week of departmental orientation.
• The on-site supervisor or lead technician will always be available as a resource for questions and support during working hours.
• The department is equipped with four GE scanners: two for inpatient, one for outpatient, and one located in the emergency department.
• The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment.
