Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering and monitoring conscious sedation as well as assessing and monitoring the clinical status of patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and intervention procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation for patients in the Cath Lab.
• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor the clinical status of patients.
• Utilize theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab.
• Ensure knowledge of radiation safety protocols and infection control practices.
• Provide hemodynamic support as needed during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the patient care team, patients, and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or equivalent setting.
• Required licensure: BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with patient types including cardiac diagnostic and intervention, implantable devices, EP mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology.

Schedule Details

Shift Times: 0700 - 1730

Weekend Rotation: No, weekends are covered by call only.

On-call Responsibilities: Weekend approximately every 4th weekend from Friday at 1700 through Monday 0700, and one call per week from the end of shift until 0700 the following morning.

Additional Information

The position requires the use of navy scrubs, which are provided. This is a non-profit community facility located in a vibrant city environment.
