Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role primarily focuses on the 1S Observation unit, with additional responsibilities that may include floating to various Med-Surg units such as Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac, as well as potentially covering the Emergency Department, depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Day shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Taking call will be a very rare occurrence

Qualifications

• Current and proficient use of Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one training will not be offered.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Telemetry or Med-Surg nursing is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in reading telemetry and BCRA. A competency assessment will be conducted on the first day, and failure to pass will result in immediate termination.

Important Notes

• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract, and these hours may not be restricted to 12-hour shifts.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission and included in the confirmation page for it to be honored.
