Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. This role requires a focus on patient care, assessment, and teamwork within an acute care setting.

Unit Information

Unit Type: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Beds: 16 beds
Average Cases per Day: Varies based on unit needs
Common Procedures: Care of post-surgical patients, including but not limited to appendectomies and cholecystectomies

Shifts and Scheduling

Shift Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM and 7 PM - 7 AM
Weekend Requirement: Required to work weekends in rotation with core staff
Holiday Requirement: Yes, assigned either A or B

Qualifications

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Education: BSN preferred but not required
Dysrhythmia Exam: Must pass within two attempts prior to contract signing
Experience: Valid nursing license required for submission

Additional Information

Floating: Required to float to similar facilities as needed
Orientation: Floor-specific orientation lasting 2 days
Charting System: Cerner
Trauma Level: Varies; operated within an acute care setting
