About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires a high level of expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 16
- Staff Count: 120
- Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
- Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
- EMR: Cerner, Fetal ink
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other procedures.
- Ensure immediate newborn care following delivery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery.
- Skills: Must have high-risk experience and immediate newborn care skills.
- Preferred Skills: Circulating experience is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
