Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in a high-volume setting. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating patient needs and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity level.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Cerner system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient and family education to promote health and wellness.
Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
- Staff Composition: Includes nursing staff, techs, and unit clerks available during day and night shifts
- Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Documentation System: Cerner
- Floating Policy: Flexible to all sections within the Emergency Department
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume Emergency Department is preferred.
- Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS upon hire; ENPC within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
- Flexibility to work in various areas of the Emergency Department.
