Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department. This role requires utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to Emergency Room patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately based on staff capabilities.
• Offer direction and supervision to personnel involved in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 1-2 years of recent experience in the Emergency Department.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred.
• Valid nursing license to practice in Alabama without any previous disciplinary actions.

Work Schedule

This position involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM for a duration of 13 weeks.
