Description
Position Overview
This role requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within a surgical environment. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with anticipation for immediate start.
Shift Details
- Shift Schedule: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, three twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Weekend shifts may be required.
Unit Information
- Location: Anchorage, AK
- Operating Room: 11 ORs
- Typical Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs.
- Night Shift: One Charge RN and one Scrub Tech in-house with call team backup.
- Equipment: A variety of OR beds and equipment.
- EMR: Epic.
Responsibilities
- Act as a patient advocate while being a resource for the sterile field.
- Assist with various surgical procedures including:
- Total Joint replacements.
- Multi-level spine fusions.
- Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General).
Qualifications
- Required: Two years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Required Certifications:
- Current RN license for the state of Alaska.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- Preferred:
- Experience as a circulator and scrub nurse.
- Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR).
Call Requirements
The position includes a call expectation of approximately 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift within an 8-week sign-up period, subject to variation.

Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
