Position Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room. As a vital member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare personnel to provide comprehensive patient care according to regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Maintain the timeliness of surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families.
• Update physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel involved in patient care.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with expertise in Orthopedics, Neurology, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, and Gynecology.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records is required.
• CNOR certification is preferred.

Additional Information

Candidates should be prepared to float between multiple locations within the region as needed. AHCA fingerprinting is required for all travelers prior to the start date.
