Description
Job Summary
A CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring accurate imaging results for diagnostic purposes. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and an understanding of radiologic technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations following established protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients during scanning procedures to ensure their well-being.
- Operate CT imaging equipment proficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness, making necessary adjustments or retakes as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
- Ensure the cleanliness and operational readiness of imaging equipment.
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a CT technologist role.
- Certification in Radiologic Technology and CT preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients and healthcare staff.
- Proficiency in using computerized imaging systems and software.
Schedule
This position is available for the night shift, working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Location
Position available in Connecticut.
