Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Portsmouth, NH

General Information

Unit Name: Family Services

• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: L&D 1-2:1, Postpartum 3:1, Gyn/Pedi 3-4:1
• Unit Staffing: Nurses, Unit Clerks, Manager, Director
• Equipment: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), beds, pumps, etc.
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Floating Policy: May float to other units as assisting staff, sitters, or for virtual support

Patient Care Focus

The unit prioritizes a patient-centered approach, incorporating services like doulas and massage therapy upon request. Our aim is to enhance overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: Experience in Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum care
• Advanced Skill Set: Experience with LDRP, Nursery/NICU experience is a plus
• Procedures Performed: Versions, Circumcisions, C-Sections

Certifications

Required: NRP, C-EFM, BLS

Optional: STABLE, PALS

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided for all staff working in the unit.
