Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist with previous experience in Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab procedures. The ideal candidate will possess moderate sedation experience and be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Asheville, NC

Unit Information

The Interventional Radiology unit features advanced imaging equipment and consists of:

• 2 single plane (GE) and 2 biplane (Philips) rooms
• 15 staff members including technologists and nursing support
• Patient ratio of 1:1

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Scrubbing and circulating for interventional procedures
• Assisting with a variety of procedures including dialysis work, arteriograms, cerebral arteriograms, and mechanical thrombectomies
• Collaborating with nursing staff and other technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Mandatory qualifications include:

• Previous Interventional Radiology and neurointerventional experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications may include:

• Vascular OR experience
• Cath Lab experience
• VI Registered certification

Shift Information

Technologists will be expected to participate in weekend rotations, approximately every 7th weekend, and one weeknight on-call shift.

The unit employs advanced medical technology including:

• Single plane (GE) and biplane (Philips) imaging systems
• Invasive CT scanner
• Electronic Medical Records system (Cerner)
