Unit Information
Join a fast-paced Med/Surg Ortho unit focused on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
- Number of Beds: 29 beds (with overflow capabilities for a total of 39)
- Staffing Levels: Charge nurse, 8 RNs, and ACT on duty
- Patient Ratios: 5:1
- Type of Equipment: Remote telemetry
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Qualifications
We are seeking dynamic and dedicated candidates to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Must Have:
- Minimum of 1-year current Med/Surg RN acute care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Typical Procedures
The unit typically cares for:
- Post-operative surgical patients
- Patients on cardiac drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin
