Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This position entails providing comprehensive care to laboring patients and newborns, ensuring safe and effective delivery experiences.

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Unit Staffing: Includes RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
Documentation System: CPN, Meditach
Scheduling Requirements: 3 weekend shifts
Floating Policy: Travelers float first
Patient Experience Requirements: Shared decision making

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Advanced Skills: Care of the laboring patient, care of the newborn immediately after delivery, circulating and recovering C-section patients
Procedures Performed: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tub labor
Certifications Required: AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced), CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP

Dress Code

Scrubs are not provided by the facility. Acceptable colors include Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray.
