Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Orthopedic/Trauma unit in Kansas City, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
• Unit Staffing: Unit Secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available
• Equipment: Traction devices, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating Policy: Travelers are prioritized for floating to other medical-surgical units as needed

Scheduling Requirements

Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts and requires three weekend shifts per schedule period.

Patient Experience Requirements

• Bedside shift report
• Hourly rounding

Qualifications

• Required Skills: Current RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred Skills: Orthopedic experience, telemetry experience, and familiarity with National Institutes of Health (NIH) stroke scale

Certifications

Relevant certifications specific to the role will be required.

Dress Code

Required uniform is navy scrubs.

Experience Requirement

A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required for this position.
