Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit and Experience Requirements
Candidate must have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience and be proficient in the following:
- PALS or ENPC certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- TNCC certification
- NIHSS certification (required)
Preferred Skills
- CEN certification
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience with Meditech documentation systems
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Conscious Sedation
- Participation in Intubations
- Behavioral Health Watch
- Sepsis Management
- Stroke Management (TPA administration)
- Chest Pain Management (Heart Alerts)
Dress Code
All nurses are expected to adhere to the following dress code guidelines:
- Scrub Color: Navy (undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only)
- Nail Policy: No acrylic nails or chipped nail polish, nails should be clean and no longer than ¼ inch
- Hair: Should be off shoulders and dyed in natural colors only
- Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible; non-coverable tattoos will be addressed individually
- Piercings: Visible piercings (other than ears) are prohibited
