Cath Lab Technologist

Unit Information

This position is within the Cath Lab and Special Procedures setting.

• Number of Rooms: 4 rooms, 1 patient per room
• Staffing: Total of 22 staff members, comprising Registered Nurses and Technologists
• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, Director, 4 staff members per room, totaling 16 staff per shift
• Night Shift: On-call team, 3 per call team, totaling 7 staff
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: GE rooms
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech and MacLab

Responsibilities

• Participate in various procedures: Cardiac Cath, Cerebral Angiograms, stent placements, balloon angioplasty, and ENT Lab duties.
• Support the team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient care.

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • ARRT Certification
  • Competency in Special Procedures and GE Innova systems
• Preferred Skills:
  • RCIS certification
