Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Unit Highlights

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This unit plays a crucial role in caring for our most vulnerable patients.

General Information

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Details: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Call Requirements: No

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 7
• Patient Ratios: 2:3
• Type of Equipment: BCPAP, HFNC
• Documentation System: Meditech, CPN
• Scheduling Requirements: Self Scheduling
• Floating Policy: As needed

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital/specialty experience
  • Experience in a Level III NICU
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Able to attend deliveries, including C-sections
• Preferred Skills:
  • Team player
  • Experience with Meditech preferred
• Licensure: Active RN license in Texas required; temporary licenses will not be accepted.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal blue and/or white scrubs
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gels, etc.
• Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors. Hair must be tied back if shoulder length or longer.
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.

Unit Guidelines and Policies

• Floating Guidelines: As needed, based on unit requirements.
• Attendance Policies: Adherence to the company-wide attendance policy is required.
