Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess Level I trauma experience and the ability to screen busy Level II trauma cases. This role requires adherence to a 50-mile radius rule and a valid Arizona nursing license.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting.
- Administer daily duties including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with specific training in simulation labs.
- Participate in required educational sessions covering lifts, restraints, and wound care.
- Manage a caseload of interventional and electrophysiology (EP) patients, performing 10-25 cases per day.
- Work as a circulator in the cath lab, adhering to all safety and procedural protocols.
- Complete mandatory call shifts, responding within a 30-minute timeframe.
Qualifications
- Current Arizona nursing license and certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly Cerner and Xper.
- Knowledge and competency in maintaining sterile fields is essential.
- Prior experience in interventional cardiology and vascular procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Working Conditions
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Schedule includes 3 shifts per week with weekend rotations required.
- Holidays will be worked into the rotation.
Additional Information
The candidate must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam before contract processing. A passing score of 80% is required, with two attempts allowed. If failed, the candidate will be ineligible for re-application within a specified timeframe. All nurses are expected to complete simulation lab training.
