Description

Seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience. The candidate must be prepared to take call as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support and promote the mission and values of the organization.
Scrub in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures.
Manage heart catheter planning.
Evaluate images to ensure they possess the necessary density, contrast, detail, and structures for diagnostic purposes.
Perform special procedures radiography using appropriate equipment according to departmental procedures.
Maintain procedural areas in a neat and orderly fashion, ensuring proper preparation throughout the day and at the end of the shift.
Complete assigned examinations within the prescribed timeframe.
Report for duty timely, wearing scrubs and ready for patient care.
Review requisition for pertinent information and special requests.
Position and prep patients, setting up equipment for all procedures.
Scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Report all unusual reactions or conditions to nursing staff.
Use sound judgment to provide appropriate information based on the situation while being sensitive to individual and organizational concerns.
Demonstrate willingness to rotate among various shifts or departments to meet patient care needs.
Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with this role.

Job Requirements

Job Knowledge and Skills

Ability to explain procedures to patients and involve them in their care.
Competency in Balloon Pump and Impella procedures.

Education and Experience

Current NH ARRT license required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
Completion of a certificate or degree program in radiologic technology.
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the required areas may be considered.
