Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our respiratory services team. This position involves providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various critical care settings.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as directed by medical staff.
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators, high-flow oxygen devices, and transport ventilators.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, reporting significant findings to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and management of respiratory conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Respiratory License.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment
The role primarily involves working in critical care units and addressing the respiratory needs of both adult and pediatric patients. You will collaborate with a team of 120 skilled staff members within a facility licensed for 854 beds, focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule
The position requires flexibility with scheduling, including working weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
Dress Code
Staff members are required to wear medium gray/pewter scrubs as part of the standard dress code.
