Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I trauma environment and be well-versed in acute care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Ensure proper handling and management of sterile fields during procedures.
- Perform necessary clinical procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
- Assist with various types of patient diagnostics and interventions, including interventional and electrophysiology cases.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
- Previous experience in a Level I trauma environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Competence in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner and Xper.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule
The position requires working three 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a rotating on-call schedule that includes 6 to 10 shifts per schedule. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with four required per four-week schedule.
Additional Information
All nurses are expected to complete a simulation lab for specific nursing skills, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. This lab is pass/fail, and adherence to sterile procedures is crucial. Educational modules will also cover lifts, restraints, and wound care, tailored to facility policies.
