Description

Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

The Emergency Department comprises a 50-bed unit with a dedicated team of 68 staff members. The patient care ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:5, ensuring a focused approach to each patient’s needs.

Shift Information

  • Day Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMTs/Medic
  • Mid Shift: 8-10 RNs
  • Night Shift: 7-8 RNs, 2-3 EMTs/Medic

Equipment and Technology

  • EKG
  • Cardiac Monitors
  • Blood Glucose Monitors

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

Meditech

Qualifications

  • Must have:
    • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital emergency department experience
    • BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in Level 1 Trauma centers
    • Stroke care experience

Deliver comprehensive emergency care to patients within the department, ensuring that all clinical and procedural needs are met promptly and effectively.
