Unit Information

This position is within a family medicine unit that provides care to patients meeting medical-surgical or telemetry admission criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in accordance with established medical guidelines.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical telemetry experience is required.
• Must possess a higher level of proficiency due to the complexity of the unit.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing or another professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association.
• 1-2 years of additional medical-surgical or telemetry experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications Prior to Start

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Shift Information

• Available shifts include Day/Night rotation.
• Holiday and weekend rotation is required.
• Overtime is paid at the regular inclusive rate.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required for this position.

Minimum Years of Experience

1 year of relevant nursing experience is required.
