Staffing Breakdown:

• Day Shift: 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 2 Mid-Shift RNs, 1 Mid-Shift Unit Clerk, 1 EMT
• Night Shift: 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 1 EMT

Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge)

Type of Equipment: GE monitors

EMR System: Meditech / CPN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, be confident in emergency procedures, and demonstrate a compassionate approach to patient care.

Qualifications

Must have:

• At least 1 year of current hospital emergency department experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC certifications
• CPI Blue Card
• PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of ENPC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN)
• Pediatric Emergency Nurse Certification (CPEN)
• IV competency in pediatric settings

Typical Procedures

• Port access and IV insertion
• Venipuncture and nasal wash
• Point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip)
• Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation
• Foley catheter placement
