Number of Staff: 45
Staffing Breakdown:
- Day Shift: 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 2 Mid-Shift RNs, 1 Mid-Shift Unit Clerk, 1 EMT
- Night Shift: 4 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 1 EMT
Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge)
Type of Equipment: GE monitors
EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, be confident in emergency procedures, and demonstrate a compassionate approach to patient care.
Qualifications
Must have:
- At least 1 year of current hospital emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC certifications
- CPI Blue Card
- PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of ENPC
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN)
- Pediatric Emergency Nurse Certification (CPEN)
- IV competency in pediatric settings
Typical Procedures
- Port access and IV insertion
- Venipuncture and nasal wash
- Point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip)
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation
- Foley catheter placement
