Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical and Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing patient care within a Medical-Surgical environment, including experience in overflow oncology.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical or Oncology specialty.
• Current and valid nursing license, verified through Nursys.
• Completion of a comprehensive skills checklist relevant to the specialty area.
• Current certification in nursing.
• Strong work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Ability to provide references from previous employers or colleagues.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical setting. This includes:

• Assessing patient health needs and developing individualized care plans.
• Monitoring patient progress and communicating changes to the healthcare team.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educating patients and their families on health management and care plans.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
