Unit: Medical Unit 610
Number of Beds: 43
Number of Staff: Approximately 70 total
Shift Details
Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Unit Secretary, 9-10 RNs, 4 CNAs
Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 9-10 RNs, 4 CNAs
Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 days, 1:6 nights
Equipment and Software
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System: Meditech
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Previous Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Meditech
Procedures Performed
The unit performs various types of surgeries, excluding cardiac and open neuro surgeries.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The best fit for this role will be a team player who is willing to jump in and assist wherever needed, and who is comfortable asking questions when unsure of processes.
Schedule and Availability
Self-scheduling is allowed within reason to maintain a balanced schedule. Rotating weekends are required.
