Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality care in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to support patients in achieving their communication and swallowing goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical and house staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding communication and swallowing strategies.
• Document patient progress accurately and manage treatment records in compliance with facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Eligibility for or possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA.
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care settings.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
• Strong assessment skills to accurately evaluate patient potential and guide treatment.
• Proficient in MS Office and Epic\EMR software.
• Knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system is preferred.

Shift Details

Full-time hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Position available within a 75-mile radius of multiple locations in New York.
