Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The successful candidate will possess substantial expertise in managing high-risk obstetric patients and will be responsible for delivering exceptional care throughout the labor and delivery process.

Unit Highlights

• Location: Dallas, TX
• Unit Type: Labor and Delivery (High Risk)
• General Information: The unit has 24 beds with estimated patient ratios of 2:1 for labor and 3:1 for OBED triage.
• Equipment: GE fetal monitors
• Documentation System: Meditech, CPN

Shift Details

• Shift: Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends as discussed during the interview
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: To be discussed during the interview

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery care
• Core Skills: High-risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections, and recovering high acuity patients
• Preferred Skills: Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate
• Procedures Performed: Support for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), and post-delivery recovery care

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Professional scrubs
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails
• Hair Policy: Neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; must be tied back if shoulder-length or longer
• Tattoo Policy: Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Piercing Policy: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

Additional Information

• Unit Guidelines: Ability to float to the antepartum unit within Women's services as needed
• Attendance Policies: Company-wide attendance policies will be followed
