Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. This role involves caring for expectant mothers throughout their labor and delivery journeys, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both mother and baby.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs.
• Administer medications and interventions as per established protocols.
• Assist with delivery and post-partum care of both mother and newborn.
• Float between departments within the Women's Pavilion as needed.
• Participate in on-call shifts and weekend rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Completion of at least 2 travel assignments in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Preferred experience with CPN and Cerner.
• Ability to perform and pass an EKG.

Work Schedule

This position is for the night shift, with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The role also requires two 12-hour on-call shifts every six weeks, one of which must occur over the weekend.

Location

The position is located in a healthcare facility in East Georgia.
