Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse on a specialized neurological unit. This unit is an excellent environment to expand knowledge on various neurological diseases while applying nursing and critical thinking skills. Join an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting, caring for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome.

As a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, we accommodate many acute and complex patients. Our Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit collaborates with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures utilizing advanced continuous video EEG technology. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values the skills, talents, and compassion of nurses in caring for our patient population.

Schedule

• Rotating shift schedules
• Blocked weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holidays and on-call duties as needed

Requirements

• Telemetry experience required
• RN License (New York License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS certification required
