General Information

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist with experience in a multi-modality role, including CT and X-ray. The facility operates the following equipment:

• CT: Siemens 64 slice Perspective with Bracco power injector and CT fluoro
• MRI: 1.5T Siemens Altea with Bracco power injector (General Abdomen, Neuro, and MSK scans)
• X-ray: Carestream portable X-ray, GE/OEC C-arms, GE XR646 X-ray room, GE Discovery RF180 Fluoroscopy/X-ray system

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans and ensure proper patient screening and coil selection.
• Administer contrast agents according to patient body weight and process protocols.
• Set the scan field and parameter selection for various anatomical regions.
• Work independently and demonstrate proficiency in starting IVs and executing butterfly IV access.
• Manage CT and general X-ray procedures, including fluoroscopy and interventional fluoroscopy.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ARRT in MRI
  • ARRT in Radiography
  • ARRT in CT (preferred)
• Minimum education of graduation from a recognized Radiology Program that qualifies for ARRT certification.
• Hands-on experience in imaging protocols relevant to the role.

Schedule and Floating

Technologists will rotate through different modalities according to a set schedule. The typical shifts are:

• Monday: MRI
• Tuesday: CT
• Thursday: General Radiography
• Friday: CT

Weekend rotation occurs every 4th or 5th week. Technologists may be required to float to nearby clinics, including Orthopedic and Family Practice/Urgent Care locations.

Work Environment

Orientation will be provided, lasting approximately one week to familiarize the candidate with facility protocols and equipment usage. The shift hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch period. Weekend shifts vary based on department needs.
