Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in urgent need.

Unit Information

Location: City, State

Emergency Department Details:

• Number of Beds: 12
• Number of Staff: 6-8
• Patient Ratios: 4:1

Shift Information

This role will involve night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, providing care during peak hours of patient influx.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• ENPC or PALS Certification
• CPI and TNCC Certifications
• Minimum of 2 years ED experience as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Skills:

• Strong background in Neuro and Cardiac care
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced environment

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in the unit include:

• STEMI interventions
• Stroke treatment (TPA administration)
• Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)

Dress Code

Staff is encouraged to wear royal blue scrubs, although this is preferred, not mandatory. Please refrain from wearing emblems from competitor organizations.

Awards and Recognition

• Recognized for achieving a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA administration.
• Fastest bed assignment to patients in the Gulf Coast Division.
