Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Position Details

Unit Information:

• Unit: 7N Cardiac Telemetry
• Location: Independence, MO
• Number of Beds: 36
• Staffing: 70 total staff members
• Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 patients per nurse
• Type of Equipment: Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Welch Allen Vitals machines
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Shift Information

• Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed, with a start date of December 14
• Shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule, with assignments on Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• ACLS certification
• Experience with recovering post-cath patients (excluding sheath removal) and managing patients with pacemaker placements, stroke conditions, and administering amiodarone and Cardizem drips

Preferred Skills:

• NIH Stroke Scale certification
