Position Summary

A travel position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role will involve providing high-quality patient care for critically ill patients, with a focus on monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Unit Information

• Location: PCU North, 2nd Floor
• Number of Beds: 18
• Number of Staff: 60
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Equipment Used: Welch Allen Vital Signs, Alaris IV pumps, EKG, Bipap
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Shift Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours
• Shift: Night (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active nursing license
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar unit

Common Procedures and Responsibilities

• Managing post-cath lab patients
• Administering and titrating IV drips
• Monitoring and interpreting patient vitals
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to create and implement patient care plans

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear grey scrubs. Hoodies are not permitted in the work environment.
