Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry team. This role focuses on the care of patients with moderate physiologic instability who require cardiac and respiratory monitoring and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, CHF, and trach support.
• Conduct regular assessments and monitor patients for vital signs and neurological changes.
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula, BIPAP/CPAP, and AirVo.
• Manage continuous cardiac monitoring and blood glucose monitoring every 4 hours.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Maintain documentation in the Meditech system to support efficient care coordination.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 18
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Staff Support: 2 Patient Care Technicians and 1 Unit Secretary

Schedule Requirements

This position offers self-scheduling, with the expectation of three weekend shifts every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to ensure high-quality patient care.

Dress Code

All nursing staff are required to wear royal blue scrubs while on duty.
